Ansu Fati’s entourage believe Xavi is being unfair to him, but player wants Barcelona stay

Adria Albets has reported a breaking report on Ansu Fati’s situation that discusses the feelings around the youngster’s situation at Barcelona both from the club’s and the player’s end.

According to the Spanish journalist, yesterday’s meeting between Fati’s father and Mateu Alemany was significant. During the proceedings, the player’s father conveyed to the club his concern and discomfort over the youngster’s drought for minutes.

Fati’s entourage believe that Xavi is being unfair to the young forward and do not understand why the La Masia star plays such scanty minutes for the club. Thus, the meeting also encompassed talks about his future.

Both the player’s father and his agent Jorge Mendes feel that Xavi’s treatment of the 20-year-old forward is ‘disrespectful’ and if the situation continues, the only option would be for him to leave the club.

Ansu, for his part, does not want to leave at the moment and wants to fight despite receiving few quality minutes. Yet, the situation could change rapidly.

As a part of yesterday’s meeting, Alemany conveyed to Fati’s entourage that the club has no intention of selling him and that his sporting situation was entirely the manager’s decision. Yet, if Xavi’s press conferences are anything to go by, it is clear that he counts on the player regaining his form.

The 20-year-old must now either stand his ground to stay and fight at the club or heed his entourage’s advice to look for greener grasses, with clubs in the Premier League said to be interested in his services.

Fati has made 24 league appearances for Barcelona this season but has started only on nine occasions. In that duration, he has scored only three goals and provided three assists whilst averaging less than a key pass in every two games. Further, he has missed six big chances in the league alone.
