Barcelona considered making a move for Borussia Dortmund‘s teenage sensation Youssoufa Moukoko in January and even consulted La Liga, Gerard Romero (5 stars) claims.
However, the official body said the move could not go ahead because Barca lacked room to register the player.
Nevertheless, Moukoko remains high on the Catalans’ priority list and the move will be possible next summer if he becomes a free agent.
As a reminder, the 18-year-old’s current deal with Dortmund expires at the end of the season. There are multiple clubs interested in the striker, although Barca might have an edge as Moukoko is a big fan of the club.
This term so far, Youssoufa recorded 6 goals and 6 assists for BVB in 22 matches. His solid performances earned him a spot at the 2022 World Cup.
