32-year-old winger from Norway leading Golden Boot standings — Lewandowski and Haaland

Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland are having a hell of season so far

Barcelona star has a tally of 13 league goals in 12 caps, while the Manchester City goal machine recorded 17 in 11, yet, shockingly, neither of them is the leader in the Golden Boot race now.

It’s the 32-year-old Amahl Pellegrino, who plays for Bodo/Glimt and has bagged 23 goals in 24 games this campaign.

How is this possible you ask? Don’t worry, there’s a fairly simple explanation.

The catch is that the Norwegian league season runs from March to November, Pellegrino has just two games left to play, while Lewy and Haaland have half a season ahead of them. There is hardly a chance that they will stop scoring.
