Xavi is expected to field a heavily rotated lineup against Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League, per sources close to the gaffer (h/t Diario Sport).
Barca have already been bundled out of the Champions League while qualifying for the Europa League knockout stages. Thus, the game at Plzen is more or less a dead rubber for both teams.
The biggest expectation is that Pablo Torre will get a chance to start in midfield. Franck Kessie and Gavi will partner the teenager.
In the attack, Barca are without Lewandowski for the trip to the Czech Republic so Ferran Torres, Raphinha and Ansu Fati are all expected to start
Here’s what the starting XI could look like:
Notice that Ter Stegen also gets a rest with Inaki Pena starting ahead of the German goalie.
