Sergino Dest and Martin Braithwaite would’ve been glad to stay and fight against the tide at Barcelona had it not been for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, reports Mundo Deportivo.
Both players are seriously considering moving to a club where they can get regular playing time to ensure they keep their place in the national team.
Both Dest and Braithwaite are key players for the United States and Denmark respectively, but they risk being omitted from the World Cup squad if they sit on the bench from now till November.
Dest may join Manchester United, following the Red Devils’ keen interest. For Braithwaite, he has options both in Spain and abroad – the problem is that he wants to be paid what he’s owed at Barca.
