JUST IN : Barca sign new defender but ‘won’t make it public’ until he can be registered

Barcelona have completed the signing of Marcos Alonso from Chelsea for a fee worth €8m, multiple reports in Spain.

However, Mundo Deportivo reports that Barca won’t make plublic the signing of Alonso until the club are sure he can be registered.

That means Alonso must wait until Barca can make some salary reductions or even the sale or departure of a big player like Frenkie de Jong, Aubameyang or Memphis Depay.

Alonso has not played a game for Chelsea this season and has stopped training with the club for two weeks.

As per Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, the Spanish left-back is on his way out of the club.
