Barcelona president Joan Laporta has a plan to bring back Lionel Messi next summer, according to CatalunyaRadio.
Laporta and Xavi have already held talks with the Argentine about returning to Camp Nou on a free transfer at the end of the 2022/23 season.
Paris Saint-Germain have offered the 34-year-old a new contract but the forward is currently focused on the upcoming World Cup in Qatar which starts in November.
Messi left Barcelona in the summer of 2021 as a free agent when the La Liga giants were unable to renew his contract due to the league’s financial regulations, joining PSG on a two-year deal.
