Barcelona have had an agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of Marcos Alonso since last week, the reputable Fabrizio Romano (5 stars) reports.
However, the Catalans will wait until they register all the new signings before they make Alonso’s arrival official.
The left-back will sign a contract until 2024 with an option for an additional year.
Alonso is meant to provide competition to Jordi Alba, who currently doesn’t have a first-team backup. Despite looking good in pre-season, Alex Balde is now expected to leave on loan.
