Juventus table two-plus-one deal for €20 million-rated Barcelona forward

Following the arrival of Robert Lewandowski, the role of Memphis Depay in the Barcelona side was always going to be questioned.

Sure enough, the Dutchman has found himself trailing in the pecking order, despite rather impressive performances in pre-season. And according to Tuttosport (h/t Diario SPORT), the forward could be living his final few days at Camp Nou, amid interest from Juventus.

The Italian giants are pushing ahead to sign the former Lyon starlet, who has emerged as an ideal alternative to their top target Alvaro Morata this summer.

As per the report, Juventus are weighing up a direct transfer for Memphis this summer. They are willing to hand the forward a two-year contract with an option to extend the deal for a further year.

Juventus are aware of Barcelona’s €20 million price tag for Depay. But if they are to sign the attacker in the summer, they are not willing to meet the valuation, especially knowing Barcelona must offload him this month.

On that note, the possibility of a loan deal has also been discussed, but that may not sit well with Barça, especially with Depay’s contract expiring at the end of next season.

Depay, for his part, has been made aware of Juventus’ interest. Although he is holding out for other offers as well, the Dutchman does consider the Bianconeri to be an ideal destination as he looks to put past his misery at Barça and take the next step in his career.

Depay’s agents are currently evaluating the possibility of a potential move to Turin. Barcelona, too, are keen on sanctioning the sale of the former Manchester United starlet and the transfer saga could gather pace in the coming days.
