Personal terms agreed with Chelsea, Man City won’t improve bid: Romano gives latest update on Cucurella transfer

It was reported yesterday by multiple sources that Chelsea are trying to sign Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella.

Fabrizio Romano has given the latest update regarding this transfer. He claims that Chelsea are ‘on it on both club and player side’ and are waiting to complete full agreement with Brighton.

There are ‘no issues’ on the player’s side – personal terms have been agreed and Cucurella is open to joining Chelsea. The deal is ‘well advanced’, Romano adds.

Manchester City wanted to sign Cucurella but are not willing to improve their earlier bid of £40m.

Brighton want over £50m for the defender, which Chelsea are reportedly willing to pay.
