Joan Laporta has made it public that Barcelona will try to bring Leo Messi back to the club next summer.
The next step is – as the reliable Achraf Ben Ayad (4 stars) reports – to ‘work silently’ to restore the relationship with the Argentine.
As per reports, things went south between Laporta and Messi last summer when Barca told the player that he had to leave. Leo’s intention was to continue at Camp Nou, but the president put the club’s interests above.
It’s not only Laporta who wants Messi back, though. Xavi is still in contact with his former teammate and is ready to count on him in case of a return.
The 35-year-old could be available as a free agent next summer when his contract at PSG expires.
