Chelsea could make a move on Frenkie de Jong if N’Golo Kante doesn’t extend his contract, Sport Bild’s Christian Falk reports. The Frenchman’s current deal runs until 2023.
Bayern Munich, on the other hand, are not interested in the Barcelona midfielder.
The Catalans will look to offload Frenkie this summer. The main issue is De Jong’s ginormous salary, but Barca also need to make sales to be able to register the new signings.
There is an agreement in place with Manchester United, but the Dutchman is not interested in the move. If he has to leave, De Jong would reportedly prefer a move to a Champions League team, and Chelsea is one of those.
