As per Nizaar Kinsella, Armando Broja has been given a shirt number for the new season along with fellow former loanee Michy Batshuayi.
However, three notable players – Ethan Ampadu, Billy Gilmour and Kenedy ‘remain in the cold’ as they have not been assigned numbers yet.
Kinsella explains what this means: “It signals that all three players could leave this summer, with Gilmour already exploring his options.”
There is no shortage of takers for Gilmour, with Frank Lampard keen to sign the midfielder to whom he handed his Chelsea debut.
He adds that Ampadu is reportedly being targeted by Serie A minnows Spezia while Kenedy could go back to Brazil.
