Joan Laporta has contacted Jorge Mendes, the agent of Bernardo Silva, to tell him that Barcelona will soon start working on the midfielder’s transfer, according to Cadena COPE’s reliable Helena Condis.
The whole operation, however, depends on Frenkie de Jong’s departure. Despite his reluctance to do so at the moment, Barca believe that the Dutchman will leave eventually.
Both Pep Guardiola and Manchester City have told Bernardo that they will not stand in his way in case of an approach from the Catalans. The 27-year-old is said to be excited to come to Camp Nou.
