Robert Lewandowski made his unofficial Barcelona debut in the friendly against Real Madrid, playing the first 45 minutes. After the game, Xavi assessed his performance.
“Robert is a world star. He has scored goals throughout his career and he will score them,” the coach said.
“I would highlight the humility with which he has come and how quickly he has adapted. He makes us all better, me as a coach and the players.”
Unfortunately, Lewandowski did not get to score against Madrid, but he came really close to it at least twice.
It appears that Xavi sees him as the starting striker, so we should expect to see more of him in the coming matches.
